Free military units type are random. They will come in pair in the form of a shipment right after the blood moon announcement. If you are fast enough you can recruit other soldiers before they land and bypass the subsequent price increase. Shipments gets larger as the game goes on.
Because of the 1v3, you want to be the first attacking to hurt or kill one of your opponents before they have time to ramp up.

On standard difficulty, a fallen unit has 20% chance to turn into a draugr. This rate increase with difficulty. No more then 4 draugrs transformation can occur on a single area.
Starting from the second year, spawn rate for draugr increases at the begining of each year. The value of this increment depends on difficulty.
Draugr can start spawning after the 6 first months.

Player start alone at the center of the map, surrounded by 3 Gates of Helheim .
Each year, Invasion from helheim occurs :
More Draugr and Fallen Valkyrie are summoned.
To avoid defeat, at least one the gates must be conquered before the event.
Once colonized, gate keeps randomly summoning additional waves of Draugrs and Fallen Valkyries multiple times in the year.
There are no neutral faction, Wolves Cave nor Draugr Tombs .
Draugr are more likely to hold a spear or a shield.
Mission must be completed within 4 years.
Ragnarök map
Conquer and hold all the gates before times run out.
Each Invasion from helheim wave is stronger than the precedent.

Their treasures are 50% less important than usual but respawn each year.
Obtaining a treasure instantly kill the scout.
AI are more aggresive and expansionist.
Be the first to find and kill the giant boar.
Building upkeep will slowly drain your kröwns stockpile. Two strategies can be considered :
Building very few buildings until you have enough kröwn for an army capable of killing the boar and building all the camps at once.
Playing "normally" without caring for building upkeep but with a lot of wood production to repair the buildings that may catch fire if you run out of kröwns.
Alternatively, Bragaful and Altar of Kings do not affected by the challenge, so they can produce kröwns properly.
Scouting several Ruins and Damaged House in starting year can stockpile enough kröwns to build the relic and building.

Frozen zombies can be of three types : Draugr , Fallen Valkyrie or Draugr Jötunn . Their is reduced.
Summer wave is significantly smaller than winter wawe. Waves importance increase each year.
If frozen zombies manage to uncolonize an area, they will attack the next one until stopped or reaching your townhall.
